YOUniverse: who gets what?

If you have been actively monitoring our Discord server, you may know that quaks were welcomed to be a part of the YOUniverse, the land of YOUnicorns.

But that caused some confusion between the residents of YOUniverse.

Quaks and YOUnicorns were confused about how the perks or rewards will now split between both the parties. This is essential to figure out since YOUnicorns are 5 times more expensive than quaks. Also, the fact that YOUnicorns were first to exist makes them somehow superior in the YOUniverse.

If we were to make quaks eligible for the perks like YOUnicorns, in the same manner, that would kill the potential of YOUnicorns in the open market. Instead, people would buy quaks for cheaper rates on OpenSea (considering the holders are willing to sell them) and access the same perks as YOUnicorns.

We definitely don’t want that to happen. Unicorns are precious, and we want ours to be the same way. But that doesn’t mean quaks don’t get anything. In fact, quaks get almost everything, just with a slight change in the Rewards and Distribution channel.

This is what YOUnicorns believe to be the best route to make both quaks and YOUnicorns valuable:

1. Quaks get access to researches
2. Quaks get access to alerts
3. Quaks get access to resources
4. Quaks get access to airdrops, but you’d need to hold at least 5 quaks to be eligible
5. Quaks get access to revenue share or fee generated of protocols or products under the YOUniverse umbrella but at the rate of 1 quak = 20% YOUnicorn — meaning, you’d need 5 quaks to reach the level of 1 YOUnicorn

In general, quaks get everything — but you’d need a higher number of holdings to be eligible for airdrops, and your quak is 1/5 of a YOUnicorn in revenue share. This is because YOUnicorns are priced at 0.05 ETH, compared to that of quaks’ 0.01 ETH.

This change will also allow people to buy more quaks from OpenSea and help increase the floor price — for people who like to speculate on quaks.
